  1. On Tuesday 19 November at 7:30 pm Sunninghill Library will present another in its series of popular local history events. Our ancient past lies under our feet and al around us, often unknow until archaeologists shed new light on the ancient (and sometimes not so ancient) aspects of our history. Dr Fiona McDonald of Berkshire Archaeology will tell us what archaeology can tell us about our ancestors and their worlds. Fiona will also address the important work of recording and preserving our past, and show us some of the more intriguing finds uncovered in recent years, and give us the opportunity to see and touch some finds from our area.
I am sure that members of our group will be interested in Fiona’s talk. They can find further information and purchase tickets (£5 per person) on www.eventbrite.com by searching for ‘Fiona McDonald Sunninghill.’ Thank you,
Ian Jacobs, Sunninghill Library events volunteer
